THE GAUNTLET

OUR EVENTS

At first glance, these may look like running events. But they’re built to be more than just kilometers and finish lines.

They’re about the spaces in between - the places where running becomes less about pace and medals, and more about discovery, resilience, and connection.

THE GAUNTLET

The Gauntlet is a different kind of test. Over 12 hours, you’ll run one lap every hour. But here’s the twist: the distance of each lap is decided by a card drawn from a hat. Sometimes it’s manageable. Sometimes it’s not. And each hour, as you line up again, you’ll face the unknown with nothing but your own determination to lean on. It’s playful, unpredictable, and just tough enough to keep you guessing until the very end.

GHOST MILES

Ghost Miles is a journey like no other: 18 days and 817 kilometers, from the Namibian border all the way down to Cape Town. But it isn’t just about covering the distance. It’s about the desert roads that seem to go on forever, the quiet moments where doubt creeps in, and the unexpected breakthroughs that come when you keep moving forward. Ghost Miles is about the miles that don’t always show up on your watch - the ones that happen in your mind. They’re the miles that challenge who you think you are, and show you who you could be.

Together, Ghost Miles and The Gauntlet form two sides of the same coin. One is long, vast, and relentless. The other is short, sharp, and unpredictable. Both are designed to remind us that running is more than times and distances - it’s about the moments, the lessons, and the stories we carry long after the finish line.

Whether you’re drawn to the open road that stretches for hundreds of kilometers, or to the thrill of testing yourself against chance and endurance, these events are an invitation. To run, to test yourself, and to find out what happens when you keep going - even when it gets hard.

Who We Are

The Mission

Our events exist to challenge comfort, spark resilience, and bring people together in the pursuit of something bigger than finish lines. They remind us that growth is found in uncertainty, and that the journey is always greater than the result.

THE ORGANIZER

On 10 September 2020, I lost the man who brought me into this sport. At first, all I felt was anger. Angry that he was gone, angry that he made the choice to leave. Over time, that anger became gratitude.

Running has changed my entire life. It’s given me freedom, a career I care about, a community of people I love, a sense of purpose, and, most of all, happiness.

I chose endurance sport - and especially ultra running because it mirrors life. It’s not easy, it’s not predictable, and it forces you to face yourself when things get hard. You can’t fake your way through it.

That’s why I’ve created these events. They’re not just races on a calendar - they’re spaces to test yourself, to connect with others, and to remember that sometimes the unknown is where the real growth happens. The Gauntlet is unpredictable on purpose - just like life. And Ghost Miles is about going further than I ever thought I could, while raising awareness for mental health and building something bigger than myself.

I don’t pretend to have all the answers. I just know that running has given me more than I could ever put into words, and I want to share that.

So if you line up at The Gauntlet, or follow along on Ghost Miles, you’re part of that story too.

I have poured my heart & soul into this.

xoxo - Dani
